Maersk Appoints WPP Media as Global Partner

WPP Media has been appointed as Maersk’s new strategic partner and will manage the company’s marketing activities in 130 countries from a central hub in Copenhagen.  

The partnership marks an important step in the development of Maersk’s global marketing efforts and highlights WPP Media’s ability to combine international reach with a deep understanding of local marketing needs. For Maersk, the collaboration signals a new chapter with a strong focus on agility, innovation, and data-driven efficiency.  

At the core of the partnership is WPP’s AI-driven platform, Open, and Open Media Studio (OMS) which, together with WPP Media’s international network and expertise, will support Maersk’s strategic goals.  

The platform provides Maersk with complete visibility and actionable insights, giving the company full control over its marketing investments. Together with WPP Media, Maersk will further develop and optimize its global marketing approach.  

For WPP Media, the partnership represents a significant development in the Nordic region and strengthens the group’s position as an integrated partner with strong capabilities in data, technology, and strategic advisory.

The partnership will be coordinated from a central hub in Copenhagen, supporting Maersk’s marketing activities across 130 countries within five regions: North America, Latin America, Europe, IMEA, and APAC.  

The collaboration officially begins this month.
