WPP Media leads COMvergence Global New Business Rankings for Q1 2026
WPP Media has secured the top spot in COMvergence's latest Global New Business Barometer for Q1 2026, leading the industry in both total and net new business rankings.
The report highlights a standout first quarter for WPP Media, which claimed 40% of all global wins and retentions, amounting to approximately $1.5 billion in new business wins and $1.3 billion in total retained billings. This strong performance was powered by major global wins, including Jaguar Land Rover and Estée Lauder.
At the agency level, WPP Media brands dominated according to COMvergence’s analysis, with Wavemaker ranked #1 globally with a total new business value of $382 million, boosted by key retentions including Huawei in China and Reckitt in India. EssenceMediacom claimed the #2 spot, driven primarily by the retention of the Estée Lauder account in China.
WPP Media claimed the top spot in the report for new business rankings across some of the globe’s biggest advertising markets, including China, the UK, India and Australia. Regionally, WPP Media also holds a leading position, ranking #1 for net new business (excl. retentions) in North America, with billings of $420 million, and EMEA with billings of $216 million.
