WPP Media reappointed as agency of record to lead Sime Darby Property’s media transformation in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – November 18, 2025 – Sime Darby Property Berhad has reappointed WPP Media as its integrated Media Agency of Record in Malaysia following a competitive pitch, with a clear mandate to lead a multi‑year media transformation.

The renewed mandate spans integrated media assignments across all channels to support township launches, brand building, and demand generation. At the core is a clear transformation agenda using technology and data to deliver more effective outcomes, more efficiently linking media investment to qualified leads, sell‑through, and transparent reporting.

“We are incredibly proud and honoured to have successfully retained the integrated media AOR for Sime Darby Property Berhad following a highly competitive pitch process,” said Arshan Saha, CEO, WPP Media Malaysia. “We understand Sime Darby Property’s townships and how buyers discover, compare, and decide from search to purchase. Our focus now is on media transformation, simplifying the stack, unifying first‑party data, building privacy‑safe audiences, modernising measurement, and automating activation, so that spending is tied to qualified leads and sell‑through. We will use technology to drive effectiveness and efficiency, with full transparency.”

“The decision was rigorous and in-depth as there were many considerations,” said Datuk Lai Shu Wei, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, Sime Darby Property Berhad. “The decision to select WPP Media was because of their deep understanding of our business, the communities and customers we operate in, and the ability to craft a practical plan to modernise how we use media — from focus in data with clear measurements to activation. This appointment helps us scale data‑led marketing, improve efficiency across channels, and create a seamless experience for homebuyers.”

The renewed scope spans all customer touchpoints, effective 16 September 2025—underpinned by a privacy‑safe data and AI stack.
