    WPP Media brands occupy four of the top five spots in WARC's 2024 Effective 100 List

    Today, WARC (World Advertising Research Center) released its Effective 100 List 2024 where WPP Media (formerly GroupM) brands made up 80% of the top five “top media agencies” category that highlights work effectiveness based on location. Within that list, Mindshare New York ranked first, Wavemaker Mumbai ranked second, EssenceMediacom New York ranked fourth and EssenceMediacom Mumbai ranked fifth, respectively.

    In the “top campaigns” category, WPP Media brands held three of the top 10 spots. Wavemaker Mumbai, in partnership with Ogilvy Mumbai, came in first for its “Shah Rukh Khan-My-Ad” Cadbury campaign—which also won the Creative Effectiveness Grand Prix at Cannes Lions—EssenceMediacom London & Mumbai came in second with its “Keep Girls in School” campaign for Whisper and Mindshare New York came in seventh with its “See My Skin” campaign for Vaseline.

    Earlier this month, WARC ranked WPP Media as the number one company in its Media 100 List 2024 for the seventh year in a row, with Mindshare, Wavemaker and EssenceMediacom each ranking inside the top five agency networks. Additionally, WPP topped both the WARC Creative 100 list and the WARC Media 100 list as the top holding company.
