The activation fused innovation, interactivity, and iconic symbolism to create an unforgettable experience that sparked excitement, engagement, and PS5 desire.

Challenge
PlayStation wanted to elevate its "Play Has No Limits" campaign in the competitive gaming market. The challenge was to create a unique Stockholm activation that resonated with potential and existing PlayStation customers (16-49), driving brand awareness and PS5 purchase intent. Existing activations using installations and projections had become commonplace, demanding a fresh approach.
Solution
We created an interactive water projection experience on Stockholm's waterfront. A 20m x 8m water screen displayed dynamic game graphics, powered by a projector. A custom-built giant controller with physical buttons allowed players to interact with a "match the shapes" game projected onto the water screen, incorporating PlayStation's classic symbols. The event, promoted via influencers and social media, offered participants the chance to win a PS5. This innovative approach aimed to bring "Play Has No Limits" to life by transforming a public space into a unique gaming arena.
Results
The five-hour activation was a resounding success, attracting long queues and enthusiastic participation. 450 gamers engaged with the experience, averaging 50 players per hour. The lively atmosphere and positive feedback demonstrated strong resonance with the target audience, successfully translating the "Play Has No Limits" message into a tangible and memorable experience.
