Celebrating our recognition as Microsoft's Global Agency Partner of the Year

Microsoft Advertising has named WPP Media (formerly GroupM) as its Global Agency Partner of the Year at its 2025 Global Partner Awards, part of Accelerate, the company's flagship event for advertisers. The accolade follows our recognition as Microsoft’s Agency of the Year in each region around the world in 2024.

This award reflects the excellent relationship between WPP Media and Microsoft Advertising teams, built on a combination of strong media partnership and technological innovation that has allowed us to tap into the full potential of Microsoft Advertising’s solutions and deliver real, measurable results for our clients around the world.

As just one example, GroupM provided extensive hands-on keyboard training on Microsoft products for clients, including AI and advanced bidding, for both senior and junior staff that led to a 50% increase in adoption among Search teams.

Microsoft's award selection process involved two judging rounds per category, including in-region judges from Microsoft Advertising across Marketing, Sales Account Teams and Senior Sales Leadership. Award nominations were judged on three main criteria:

    1. Business Challenge or Opportunity

    2. Goals and Strategy

    3. Implementation and Results

For 2024, WPP Media also won Agency Partner of the Year in the Americas, APAC, and Continental Europe as well as the Omnichannel Excellence Award in APAC, culminating in a total of four regional partner award wins and the title of Global Agency Partner of the Year for 2025.

“Microsoft has been such a great partner to us," said Amanda Grant, Global Head of Partnerships at Choreograph. "Microsoft commands a rich ecosystem covering search, gaming, cloud, and more, with unique user bases lending to rich data and product integration opportunities. We've worked together to create a nuanced understanding of how our audience taxonomy translates with theirs through a robust foundation of pipes to support both insights and delivery."
