Latest COMvergence Analysis Ranks WPP Media as World's Leading Investment Group
WPP Media continues to lead the industry in global media billings according to COMvergence, the independent research firm that specializes in assessing the global media and digital agency landscape.
In a report released today, COMvergence's latest analysis ranked WPP as the world's number 1 media group with $64 billion dollars of client advertising investment under management.
The report, which assesses media billings across 49 countries, highlights WPP Media's leading performance, with its agency brands EssenceMediacom, Mindshare, and Wavemaker also achieving notable rankings across global markets and regions. EssenceMediacom is the #2 ranked agency brand globally, with billings of $23.303 billion. Mindshare follows closely as the #3 ranked brand, with billings of $20.468 billion. Wavemaker secured the #6 spot, with billings of $15.889 billion.
WPP Media continues dominate internationally, ranking as #1 in both EMEA and APAC according to COMvergence’s analysis. In EMEA, COMvergence's analysis assessed WPP Media as managing $26.7 billion in advertising investment, reflecting a 22% industry market share, and up 4.6% over 2024. In APAC, COMvergence's total assessed billings for WPP Media reached $19.7 billion and 12% industry market share.
COMvergence's analysis also reflects WPP Media's strong position across the world's top 10 advertising markets as ranked by our This Year Next Year 2026 Global Midyear Forecast. WPP Media was assessed as the #1 group operating in Australia, Germany, India, and the UK. In these key markets, WPP Media's agency brands also consistently ranked among the leading agencies according to COMvergence's report, which listed Mindshare as the #1 brand in China and India, EssenceMediacom as the #1 brand in Germany and the UK, and Wavemaker as the #3 brand in Australia, France, and India.
COMvergence's 2025 annual billings report follows the company's Q1 2026 New Business Barometer, which reported WPP Media as the industry's break out leader in global new business performance for the year so far, winning 40% of all global wins and retentions.
