New Management team formed at WPP Media Sweden

Soon more than 360 employees from WPP Media Sweden will join one company and four management teams will become one. Today, CEO Lina Lindén presents the new management team.

Simplicity is the north star for the new organization. It is needed, not only for fully leveraging all the heavy investments in technology and AI tools that WPP Media is undertaking, but also to nurture the best conditions for a culture of knowledge sharing and curiosity.

The new setup is forming an organization focused on growing the clients’ business. Silos have been levelled and all talents who have been tied to one of the agencies can now share their knowledge and experience with more clients.

The new management team, apart from CEO Lina Lindén:

Anna Martinkari (former Mindshare CEO) and Christina Kopp Ovrén (former Chief Client Officer at Wavemaker) will now be Managing Directors, Client Division. They will each lead a unit of client teams and ensure that the client's focus is also the focus of the organization.

Johanna Fahlström (former Wavemaker CEO) will become Chief Operating Officer, with responsibility for growth, partnerships, pricing models and resource planning.

William Sävblom returns to the company from ICA to lead Choreograph as Managing Director. Choreograph is WPP Media's specialist unit for data, analysis, insights and tech.

Anniken Haglund (formerly Executive Director Activation, Group M Nexus) is appointed Managing Director, Media Management & Delivery, and will lead the company's media specialists.

Marie Melin, Jonas Viksten and Niklas Angeltoft will continue in their existing roles as Chief People Officer, Chief Solutions Officer, Nordics and Chief Financial Officer, respectively.

"I am very proud that this incredible team is coming together to build WPP Media Sweden" , says Lina Lindén, CEO of WPP Media Sweden. "We will be the sharpest partner, who with clarity, strategic acumen and the strength of our combined competencies, can guide CMOs and simplify their job. The new organization is not just about efficiency and maximizing our considerable investments in AI and tech. It is about culture, knowledge sharing and an unwavering focus on client results."

The restructuring and the new organization do not involve any staff reductions. On the contrary, WPP Media Sweden is positive about the future and is actively recruiting to meet the increasing demand.

"We are doing very well and have done so over time", says Lina Lindén. "The new organization is offensive, not defensive."

• An important part of the process has been to conclude collective bargaining agreements, which increases security for staff and at the same time opens up for potential new client assignments.

• The agency brands Mindshare, Wavemaker and Essence Mediacom – will remain as sub-brands for the time being, but no longer as independent legal entities.
