WPP Media Tops the WARC Media 100 List for Seventh Straight Year
Today, WARC (World Advertising Research Center) ranked WPP Media (formerly GroupM) as the number one company in its Media 100 List 2024 for the seventh year in a row, with its three agencies (Mindshare, Wavemaker and EssenceMediacom) ranking inside the top five agency networks.
WPP Media brands comprised 40% of the “top agencies for media” category that highlights work based on location. Within that list, Mindshare New York ranked first, jumping 31 places from last year. Wavemaker India, Mindshare India and EssenceMediacom UK ranked five, six and seven, respectively.
In the “top campaigns for media excellence” category, WPP Media brands held half of the top 10 spots. EssenceMediacom London came in second for its “Pre-Loved Island” eBay campaign, Mindshare London, in partnership with Ogilvy London, took third for its “#TurnYourBack campaign” with Dove, Mindshare Mumbai came in fifth with its “Thumbstopping Beauty Biases” campaign with Dove, Mindshare New York came in sixth for its “Toxic Influence” campaign with Dove, and EssenceMediacom Mumbai came in eighth for its “The Missing Chapter” campaign with Whisper.
WPP was named the top holding company for media for the seventh time in a row.
