Challenge
Økologisk.no faced a significant challenge in disseminating complex expertise on organic food and agriculture to the general public. Search analytics revealed a substantial gap between their valuable, yet often academically dense, expert knowledge and consumers' actual search intents. With limited resources, it was demanding to find writers who mastered both the subject matter and the art of engaging communication for consumers. The organization needed a scalable solution to transform its extensive specialist content into easily digestible, SEO-optimized material to increase search visibility and reach a broader audience with accurate information.
Idea
To address this challenge, Økologisk.no developed a tailored AI agent, named Øko-Lars. This agent was trained on state-of-the-art SEO principles and Økologisk.no's entire knowledge base. Øko-Lars automated and enhanced the content process by analyzing search data, restructuring complex subject matter into accessible language with fact boxes and FAQ sections, and implementing technical SEO for "rich snippets." The creative approach involved transforming knowledge from lengthy articles into a modular, user-friendly structure, optimized for how Google indexes content. The jury highlighted the project as genuinely innovative, praising how the clear strategy and methodical use of technology solved a real communication problem by making dense expert knowledge accessible to many.
Results
The project exceeded ambitious goals, resulting in a fundamental transformation of Økologisk.no's visibility and relevance. The number of SEO-optimized articles produced increased to 31, a full 72% more than the target. Google impressions rose by an impressive 42.21%, and the number of top 3 rankings surged by 142%, from 52 to 126 keywords. Although clicks decreased by 12.74%, this was a strategically desired outcome, as Økologisk.no dominated Google's AI Overviews with 86 results. This established them as the primary authority in ecology, positioning them for the future of search. The jury acknowledged the impact of more top-3 rankings, increased visibility, and presence in AI-driven search engines, commending the holistic approach where strategy, creativity, and technology merged into modern communication work with measurable effect.
